Plans for this website -

Okay - I thought it was time to expand and update this website. I am currently developing an online Java/programming/object oriented tutorial. It will start out with the basics and hopefully expand into more advanced topics, such as JDBC - for database access, Swing - for interface development and much more. This tutorial will be geared mostly to high school students or college students or anyone else that may be interested in getting into programming. At this time, it is NOT geared toward someone that has been programming for a long time and wants to expand into Java. Once some of the more advanced topics get worked on - then that should change. Right now it includes the very basics - including coding style. It will also include general programming information (stuff you can use regardless of what language you use). After laying down the basic foundation, I will introduce Object Oriented Programming methodology. Throughout the tutorial you'll find many sample programs, I'm also considering including project suggestions that you can try. I've been an object oriented devloper for about 8 years using PowerBuilder and have recently been moving more into Java. If you have any suggestions, questions or comments - please don't hesitate to contact me at rrosetta@hsonline.net.
Let's get started......

New Jersey - My AboutNewJersey.com website
New Jersey
A lot of people ask me why I love New Jersey so much. First let me say that it's not because I've never been anywhere else. I've been to 40 of the 50 states and I have lived in 6 of them. I've lived in New Jersey - where I grew up in Bricktown and then South Brunswick, San Deigo California - when I was real little and my father was stationed in the navy, Salem, West Virginia - where I went to college, Seymour, Indiana - where my father started up a company (American Inline Graphics) that we sold to RR Donnelley & Sons, Portland, Oregon - where I was on a computer consulting contract for 16 months and Chicago Illinois for a short time. After being away from NJ for WAY TOO LONG - I FINALLY made it back.

New Jersey has everything. From the ocean to the mountains, there is something for everyone. I love the colonial towns like Cranbury or spending time at the shore at Seaside Heights. Since I live in Plainsboro - I live by one of the most prestigious universities in the country - Princeton University. I can easily take the train into New York or go to Liberty State Park in Jersey City to see the Statue of Liberty - which by the way - is in New JERSEY waters. Throughout the year - New Jersey has tons of Revolutionary War reenactments - Washington spent more time in New Jersey than any other place in the country during the war. Also New Jersey has more Revolutionary War sites. If you want to go to "Revolutionary War tourist place", go to Williamsburg, but if you want to see several houses that Washington stayed at or where the turning point of the revolution took place - Washington's Crossing, Battle of Trenton or the Battle of Princeton - then come to New Jersey. We also have two of the oldest operating lighthouses in the country - # 1 Sandy Hook Lighthouse, which was built in 1746 and #2 Cape May Lighthouse, which was built in 1859, both can be toured - along with our many other lighthouses. New Jersey is covered in state parks, from Cape May Point State Park in the south to the highest at High Point State Park in the the northwest. And where else can you find the largest drive thru safari oiutside of Africa? Only at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson New Jersey - where giraffes, ostriches, deer, llama walk along side your car and the baboons make a playground out of it.

New Jersey is the place to be.
